Rissani 3

A thick layer of fine-grained wind-blown deposits dominates the site. The grain size ranges from fine silt to fine sand and a clay fraction is also present. This facies is a good analogue for the thick accumulation of “dust” in some localities on Mars (i.e. Arabia Terra) and it also resembles the characteristics of the fine dust on the Moon.
