Travertine

A travertine body occurs along the shoreline of a Quaternary lake in the Ouarzazate basin. These travertine deposits rest adjacent to the marginal fault of the basin. Travertine forms a prograding body starting from the marginal fault and advancing towards the basin. Topset and forest strata are clearly exposed.
